Boutique Paws is the development of all things that I love. Bringing people and animals together in a safe and comfortable environment, namely, AT HOME.
My name is Trude, pronounced Truda. Ive been living in Mernda since 2011 with my husband Nick, our 2 dogs - Lucy and Mitch, 2 cats - Moe and Oscar and 2 chooks - Bernice and Betty.
I grew up with an affinity for animals, so it was only natural that I my career lead down that avenue. I trained as a veterinary nurse in NZ, qualifying with a merit in behaviour, and worked in two companion animal practices based in Auckland.
After deciding my love of shoes could no longer be sustained on vet nursing wages, I moved into veterinary sales and marketing where I remain to date as my day job.
Throughout the years I have owned and cared for many dogs (from a mini schnauzer to a wolfhound) cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, parrots, chooks and fish.
There are no creatures to large, small, scaly or slimy that I am not happy to care for. Though I may draw the line at venomous snakes and spiders!
My services are straight forward, while you are away we come to your home, as this is where your animals are most comfortable.
We feed them, clean up after them, walk them, play with them and love them. And if you prefer, they can join our Lucy and Mitch during dog park time!
We also include additional services such as mail collection, basic grooming, medicating, veterinary visits, watering your plants and any other day to day duties that would occur if you were at home.
Myself and any staff entering your home will have full Vic Police checks and I can guarantee we will show the utmost respect and responsibility when looking after your pets and your home.
